In Bakersfield, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–5 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (661) 978-6624. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is valleybloomsflorist.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 76 reviews, which is a strong result for a plant nursery in Bakersfield and suggests consistent service.

Bakersfield is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Bakersfield is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I ordered 24 ct of roses for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved them. She is so in love with me that she tied me up and threw me in the trunk of her car and said I only belong to her. I don’t know when the next time I will be able to get to see daylight or a sip of water but I’m happy my girlfriend is happy. It’s been 2 days since I got locked in here and I’m using the last bit of my battery of my phone to send this message out to the world. Can you please send help?

They were very accommodating on the phone. Needed Sunday delivery and they were able to do that. They emailed me when they were delivered, with a picture. Flowers look beautiful. Will definitely use them again.

I’m currently in Pennsylvania and needed same-day flower delivery on a Sunday for a grieving family member. Valley Blooms Service was not only open, but handled everything with incredible professionalism and compassion. I specifically requested an all-white arrangement with a leaf wrap in the vase, and they executed it flawlessly. They even sent photos and a video of the finished piece before delivery, which meant so much to us during such a solemn time. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful — truly stunning. You can see the designer’s passion and artistry in every detail. The care poured into this piece was evident. It’s bittersweet ordering flowers for a loss, but Valley Blooms Service brought beauty and peace into a heartbreaking moment. I am so grateful for their same-day Sunday delivery and exceptional craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

WOW. What an amazing experience ordering from Valley Blooms Florist. I live in NYC and needed flowers for my mom’s 30x2🤫 (my Reina 👑). I ordered online from a few other places first… next-day delivery was promised but absolutely non-existent. Got a refund and went back on the hunt. Cue me Googling flower shops in BK and Valley Blooms was my first click. I called to double-check if they could deliver on BAD BUNNY BOWL SUNDAY 😭🫠 and the nicest woman ever confirmed: YES, they deliver on Sundays. Already winning. I asked about white roses and mentioned I didn’t really have a vision. This is when she said, “Give me 2 minutes, I’ll upload a photo so you can see exactly what you’re asking for.” EXCUSE ME??? She turned into IT right before my eyes. 🎤⬇️ While she was uploading, I kept browsing and fell in love with half the website… so yes, I changed my mind. Zero judgment. Zero pressure. Just pure helpful energy. Long story short, Hope ✨ created the most beautiful rose bouquet for my mom’s 60th SuperBowl / Bad Bunny Concert Surprise Bash. It arrived early, looked stunning, and made my mom feel like the icon she is. 10/10 experience. Will absolutely be ordering again. Thank you Val
